You go to Orlando Universal to ride rides but there is are unexpected places and shops too. Sometimes during your day you just want to chill and take some time to relax or browse. While in that mood I found some things that were charming. You think things will automatically be expensive but really they were regular prices and even sales. Plus, I loved the selection! Stephen bought a leather wallet at Fossil store at City Walk. I wanted to buy all the hippie shirts (I did get one that I love at Fresh Produce for a steal). There were good sales and it got us out of the hot sun and into an air conditioned place to escape the hot muggy air for a while.
1. Star Souls – Henna Tattoos
There’s a hippie shop that has henna tattoos. It’s not inside but it’s a relaxing stop plus I love how henna tattoos stay for so long. Instead of looking bad like a regular temporary tattoo or face painting, henna just fades away slowly. I still have a paisley one on my hand from almost a week ago. This shop is in Islands of Adventure.
2. Vintage Clothing and Funky Art at Shop of Wonders
This shop is in Islands of Adventure and it features refashioned clothes and local artists with a fun, eclectic vibe.
3. Universal Preview Center
I asked our tour guide about this one and she really didn’t have a lot of info but apparently you can go and watch new TV shows and commercials in exchange for your opinion. See pictures and read more here.
4. Hummus and Kebob’s at Desert Kebob House
Of course you’ll need a churro to go with that hummus plate!
5. The Talking Fountain at Islands of Adventure, Orlando!
It’s called The Mystic Fountain and it talks, it’s eyes glow and it spits water at you!! Alexis had so much fun and it’s the perfect way for kids to cool off, play and get soaked.
