Gift Ideas for You and Anyone Else Who Loves Sleep
This post was most recently updated on April 26th, 2018
If 2017 had a theme at our house it would be the year of SLEEP. There are SO MANY reasons we miss out on sleep – from snoring husbands to sick or scared kids, to loud neighbors and stress. Look through our list of sleep gift ideas and see if there’s something that will help you up your sleep game!
Gift Ideas for People Who Love Sleep
I tried to pick a variety of favorite sleep products to help you and your family get the best sleep possible.
Voila Mattress (this goes to my review and gives you a code for 10% off)
If you’re not getting enough sleep, we want to eliminate one obvious culprit: your mattress! I seriously don’t understand who can live with a bad mattress (unless it’s a financial issue – but even then there are options – everything from mattress returns to buying one on classifieds like Craig’s List!). Voila is thicker than most online mattress brands. It’s not heavy on memory foam. It has springs and it’s medium firm. Just like we like!
Bedside Caddy to Hold Your Stuff (like Your Remote)
A Bedside Caddy to hold your notebook and things you need close by. Things like your favorite book or magazine, your glasses, phone, iPad, and of course, the remote.
Noise Cancelling Wired Eye Mask with Built in Headphones
Blocks out sunlight. Plays music or meditations to help you destress and fall asleep faster. The earpieces are built into the inside of the mask. You can lay with your head facing the side (side sleepers rejoice!) without the uncomfortable feeling of earphones. The mask is soft and padded. The second earbud runs internally across the front of the mask to the other side. The only cord that you can see is the one that you plug into your phone. Adjustable velcro.
A Luxurious Silk Pillowcase that Helps Prevent Bed Face
Also good to help that hair look better for just one more day! Helps prevent hair breakage. Helps to keep you from waking up with bed face (you know, those creases and wrinkles that get embedded from pillowcases and sheets that take an hour to come out!). Comes in a lot of colors and sizes too.
Soft Jersey Knit Sheets
Comes in 9 colors, including white and ivory. Mix and match – they even come in a deep purple color. They are soft, they wick away moisture fairly well, and hold up fairly well over time. When treated properly, these pillowcases/sheets will let you sleep on a bed/pillow that feels like an soft tshirt. Use almost year-round (in cooler weather). Very affordable/great value. If money wasn’t an object, we’d pick these.
Venta Air Purifier, Diffuser and Humidifier
If the air is dry, if you’re congested or if you have allergies sleep can be elusive. We put essential oils in our Venta and run it on medium or low all night to help open the airways, keep the humidity level at around 40 and to create a great sleep environment. The Venta is a workhorse. It’s so simple to refill and clean – mold doesn’t get caught in impossible to clean surfaces. The photo shows it without the top casing. You just lift out the disc and fill with tap water to the wavy line to get hours of cleaned air. This is one of those products you expect last for a decade or longer because you invested in quality.
Echo Shot Alexa Alarm
Want to wake up to your favorite playlist, audiobook or weather forecast with the command of your voice? Or just tell Alexa to wake you up at a certain time every morning or to dim the lights before bed? The new Echo Shot smart alarm clock is what you need for a smart sleep-enhanced bedroom!
Wholetones’ Life, Love & Lullabies
Produced and composed by Grammy award-winning musician, Michael S. Tyrrell, the new album is entirely dedicated to helping listeners sleep and relax. Wake up restored, repaired and energized. It is soothing and peaceful. I’m going to buy a few sets to give away for Christmas.

SwaddleMe Swaddle Blanket
This last gift idea is for new parents. We give this for a baby shower gift because it worked so well for our baby when she was born. It wraps them up and the velcro means you can put their little arms in or out but it won’t get loose and fall off like the swaddling blankets we tried. We also love the book Babywise at least for the concept of teaching your babies to sleep on their own. I didn’t follow it exactly and don’t love how it’s written but it’s still helpful along with these blankets. Babies have that startle reflex and they flail their arms and wake themselves up. This is a true gift to parents who want to get sleep and stay sane in those first few months and beyond.
Philips Hue Dimmer Light
This is the smart light bulb that’s perfect for your nightstand. You can use the app to program them to turn on or off at specified times, even when you’re away from home. But what I really love is the dimmer switch with no cords or installation required! I use it every night to dim the lights while we’re getting ready for bed. It has light settings and formulas but most of all it is easy to use once you set it up. We use it for a nightlight for our daughter and in our living room too!
Compatible with the Alexa Shot mentioned above so you can use your voice to control your lights. The starter kit is a good start. Last Christmas my husband had to scour the stores to find these.
Brooklyn Bedding Shredded Memory Foam Pillow
This is my all time favorite pillow. It keeps it’s shape and it’s a great price too. It’s actually a lot cheaper on Amazon than on their website. It’s better than My Pillow, Panda pillow or anything else like it that I’ve tried (and I’ve tried A LOT of pillows). There’s no funky smell and it’s nice to finally find a pillow that lasts and lasts!
With this gift idea list I wish you and yours a wonderful holiday season with happy times and happy, deep and sweet sleep.
